In this docu-fiction, we accompany two teenagers as they delve into the history of their Marseille neighborhood, 'Font Vert', tracing its evolution from the early slums in the 1930s to its current status as a banlieue. For this, the production team collected tons of archive material they needed to showcase.
A lot of the motion design is inspired by analogue equipment, such as slide projectors and microfilm readers, as well as processes like photographic development. This aims to add tactility to this exploration of the past. The transitions between frames flow naturally, driven by free associations between visual cues found in the raw material.
